Montreal, Canada
Montreal Casino & Hotel
Île Notre-Dame sits in the St. Lawrence River, a few minutes from downtown Montreal. The property here reuses pavilions built for Expo 67.
The architecture is the first thing to notice. Angular frames and glass from the world's fair still shape the main buildings, and the island setting gives wide river views.
Inside there are restaurants, bars and a performance space alongside the gaming floor. Parkland, the Olympic rowing basin and the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve are all on the same island.
02
Niagara Falls, Canada
Fallsview Casino Resort
Set on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, this resort is built around a hotel tower that faces the Horseshoe Falls.
Many rooms look straight down the gorge. A spa, a shopping gallery and several restaurants sit in the same complex, and a large theatre stages concerts and touring shows.
The gaming floor occupies one part of the resort. Most guests split their time between the view, the falls walkway and the dining rooms.
03
Richmond, Canada
River Rock Casino Resort
Richmond sits just south of Vancouver, beside the airport. River Rock stands on the bank of the Fraser River there, with a marina below.
Accommodation runs from standard rooms to suites in its hotel towers. There is a pool and spa, several restaurants and a show theatre for concerts.
The Canada Line connects it to downtown Vancouver and the airport, which makes it practical for a first or last night. The gaming floor is one part of the resort.
04
Rama, Canada
Casino Rama Resort
North of Toronto, near the shores of Lake Couchiching, this resort stands on the lands of the Chippewas of Rama First Nation.
A hotel tower holds the guest rooms and suites, with a spa and several restaurants on site. The entertainment centre books well-known touring acts.
It works as a base for Ontario's lake country as much as an evening out. The gaming floor is one feature of the property, alongside dining and live shows.
